Request for Financial Assistance for Off-Campus Study

Do you wish to request additional financial assistance to reimburse some of your costs related to off-campus study? If so, please fill out the form below. You may request up to $250 for funds to cover visas and visa-related travel, and immunizations, directly related to your study abroad program, subject to review by the Center for Global Programs. Please be explicit with your requests and know that you will need to provide images of receipts of your expenses before Denison will provide you with funding. We are not able to provide funds without some kind of documentation of costs. You may make more than one request, but please remember that the assistance is capped at $250 per student across all programs/terms. In other words, you may not receive more than $250 in off-campus supplemental funds while you are a student at Denison. You must receive need-based financial aid to be eligible for this funding. THE AMOUNT YOU RECEIVE IS DETERMINED BY YOUR LEVEL OF FINANCIAL NEED AS DOCUMENTED BY THE OFFICE OF FINANCIAL AID.

*Please note that you must have been approved by the Center for Global Programs to study off campus before you apply for funding.*

Funds will be transferred via ACH after you are approved by Denison for your program, after you have provided images of receipts of your expenses (when prompted by an approval email), and after you electronically sign your full name on this form where you attest/verify/agree that if you withdraw from your program you are responsible for paying the funds back to Denison (check or cash) within 14 business days of notifying the Center for Global Programs of your official withdrawal from the program. If you cannot pay up front, the amount will be added to your student account. This is to ensure the funds are spent responsibly, according to the wishes of the donor family, and that the funding is sustainable for a large number of students with need.

We are not able to review requests for funding until students have been approved by the Center for Global Programs to study off campus. Please mark your calendar to reapply (by visiting and completing this form again) once you have been approved by our office.
