Report Outside Awards

In order to ensure your financial aid package is correct, students are required to report any outside scholarships, tuition benefits, or other financial aid resources.

Complete this form if you are the recipient of a scholarship(s) or financial resource(s) from a source other than Denison University.

In order for Denison to ensure correct billing and financial aid packages, students are required to report any outside scholarship, tuition benefit, or any other financial resource they are receiving outside of those awarded by Denison University. These resources must be reported even if the funds are paid to the student directly. This includes, but is not limited to scholarships, tuition benefits from a parent/family employer, and VA benefits. Outside scholarship awards are not credited toward the university bill until payment is received from the organization.

Please note: Financial resources from outside sources may affect your eligibility for financial aid. In order to remain in compliance with federal regulations, state requirements, and institutional policy, your eligibility for financial aid may be reevaluated upon notification of any outside scholarships, benefits, and financial resources. Outside financial assistance will reduce the original self-help portion of your financial aid award (work study/loans) before any Denison-provided grants. Outside aid rarely reduces a student's family contribution.

Crediting Your Bill

1. Denison's policy is to credit all awards equally between the fall and spring semesters unless otherwise requested. If the award is renewable, a new form should be submitted each year.
2. We cannot credit your award to your student account until the money is received in our office.
